Safecheck is for SINGLE WOMEN LIVING ALONE

A report from the Women's Institute for a Secure Retirement states that about 40% of female Baby Boomers are single, which would be about 14.5 million women.

WOMEN AND HEART DISEASE

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

  •  Heart disease is responsible for 1 in every 5 female deaths.
  • Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women over age 65, and the second leading cause of death in women ages 45 to 64.
  • About 47% of women in the U.S. have some form of heart disease.
  • Women are less likely to survive their first heart attack than men.
  • About two-thirds of women who die suddenly from coronary heart disease had no previous symptoms.
  • Nearly 64% of women who die suddenly of coronary heart disease were not aware they had a problem.
